Cancelling and or Rescheduling your appointment
How to cancel and reschedule with SherryB Psychology

A Word on Late Cancellations and Non-Attendances
To us, keeping your appointments is a keen marker of personal accountability in the pursuit of recovery and ongoing well-being. At SherryB Psychology we encourage our clients to demonstrate a commitment to themselves, their treatment, and their psychologist. We understand that this busy life will throw random events and chaos your way from time to time. With this in mind, we ask that you provide us with a minimum of 24 hours notice if you are unable to make it to your appointment.
A text message reminder will be sent as a courtesy to your mobile 48 hours before your appointment. A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to reschedule an appointment without incurring a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee must be paid before another session can be booked. (Please note that Medicare, WorkCover QLD and several EAP services will not cover cancellation fees related to your treatment).
Our cancellation fees for non-attendance is passed on to the clinician for their time. If we can refill the appointment, no fee is charged.
If you do not attend your appointment or provide sufficient notice to reschedule, this has a real impact on three parties:
• You. Your treatment progress is delayed.
• Someone else. Another client on the waitlist who wanted to see your psychologist, and could have, if you had been offered sufficient notice
• Your psychologist. They were looking forward to seeing you, they’ve spent time preparing for your session.
Our cancellation fees are for non-attendance which is passed on to the clinician for their time. If we can refill the appointment, no fee is charged.
